In Q1–Q2 2026, the total retail market for motion sickness drugs exceeded RUB 577.8 million (at retail prices, including VAT). Total Russian spending in the category increased by 14.2% compared to the same period in 2025. In physical terms, the segment's volume in the first two quarters exceeded 1.7 million packages, corresponding to annual growth of 3.2%. This dynamic reflects a stable long-term trend: physical demand for these products has been increasing for the fourth consecutive year, while ruble growth outpaces it due to a shift toward more expensive products and inflationary processes.

According to the "Retail Audit of Drug Sales in Russia (total sell out)" from the analytical company RNC Pharma, this category of drugs is characterized by pronounced seasonality, with peak demand in July, driven by increased tourist flows during the summer holiday season. In July of last year, the highest sales volume in recent years was recorded: sales exceeded 555 thousand packages worth RUB 172.1 million, surpassing July 2024 figures by 4% in physical terms and 15% in value terms. A sharp decline in consumer activity in the motion sickness drug segment is observed in September, with minimum indicators typically occurring in February. In February of this year, consumption volume was only 175.3 thousand packages, corresponding to RUB 61.9 million in monetary terms.

In the first half of 2026, the sales structure of the analyzed category was dominated by dimenhydrinate-based drugs for relieving kinetosis symptoms, accounting for approximately 82% of the segment's total revenue. The long-term leader in this group is the Croatian brand Dramina (Jadran), which accounts for 67% of the category's revenue. Second place in the ranking is held by the homeopathic Vertigoheel from the German manufacturer Heel, with a 14.1% ruble share. Rounding out the top three is the domestic brand Aviamarin (Binnopharm Group), with a 14% value share. Thus, two of the three leading brands in the category contain dimenhydrinate. Interestingly, significant changes in these products were stimulated by the withdrawal of the drug Ciel from Teva from the market. According to the "Monitoring of the Release of Medicinal Products into Free Circulation in the Russian Federation" database from the analytical company RNC Pharma, its last supplies were carried out back in 2017. At the same time, a new domestic drug with the same INN — Geonormin from Renovation — appeared on the retail market, entering civil circulation at the end of 2025.

The highest sales growth in monetary terms among brands during the reporting period was shown by Vertigoheel — over the year, its consumption increased by 45.9% in rubles and 36.5% in packages.
