Demand for drugs used in the treatment of nicotine dependence (EphMRA group N07B) has shown a steady upward trend for three years. In Q1 2026, total retail sales in this segment exceeded RUB 1.84 billion, which is 30.9% higher than in January–March 2025. In the first three months, Russians purchased 1.32 million packages of such drugs, with long-term growth of +19.8%. For the full year 2025, the segment's volume reached 4.53 million packages with spending of RUB 5.96 billion, with growth compared to 2024 recorded at +19.5% in monetary terms and +9.7% in packages.

According to the "Retail Audit of Drug Sales in Russia (total sell out)" from the analytical company RNC Pharma, a significant portion of drugs for nicotine dependence therapy are actively sold in the online segment with courier delivery to the end consumer. In January–March 2026, online sales accounted for 8.4% of the total sales volume of this category in the retail structure. This is significantly higher than the overall share of the e-commerce channel in Russian pharmaceutical retail, and online sales here demonstrate faster growth rates compared to traditional retail: in Q1 2026, online sales growth was an impressive +45% in monetary terms and +36% in physical terms.

The key volume in the consumption structure of the group's total retail sales is formed by the Nicorette product line (INN nicotine), which accounts for 73.8% of all consumer spending. Currently, this brand effectively holds a monopoly position as the only nicotine-based drug on the Russian market. Second place is occupied by Tabex (INN cytisine) from the Bulgarian company Sopharma, accounting for about 15.7% of the market's monetary volume. Both leading brands showed strong positive growth during the reporting period: ruble revenue from Nicorette sales increased by 36%, and from Tabex by 19%. In addition to Tabex, five other cytisine-based analogues were present on the retail market during the analyzed period, almost all of which showed high growth rates. The most notable dynamics were recorded for the brand Cytisine from Vifitech — compared to Q1 2025, its sales increased by 60% in monetary terms and 44% in physical terms. The top three in the overall ranking is rounded out by a cytisine-based drug from the domestic company Ozon Pharmacevtika under the brand Nicuril, but in January–March of this year, this brand could not boast of high dynamics: annual growth in monetary terms was a modest 4%, while physical demand decreased by 5%.

The category also includes homeopathic remedies aimed at combating smoking. These products generally show a pronounced decline in consumer interest — the only exception is the brand Tabacum-Plus (Doctor N), which showed sales growth of 54% in ruble terms.
