In Russia, there continues to be steady growth in the monetary volume of homeopathic product sales in the retail market. According to the database “Audit of retail sales of medicines in Russia (total sell-out),” at the end of the first and second quarters of 2025, 12.6 million packages of homeopathic remedies were sold on the retail market (including online channels) for a total of 8.8 billion rubles (at retail prices, including VAT). The dynamics relative to the same period in 2024 amounted to 1.9% in real terms and about 13.4% in ruble terms. In total, over 25 million packages of such products were purchased at retail in 2024 for more than 16.2 billion rubles, with growth of +0.5% in packages and +10.8% in rubles. The exception was 2023, when the volume of such products decreased by 3.9% compared to 2022, but the value in rubles increased by 7.2%.

The dynamics of demand for homeopathic remedies vary greatly in different regions of the country, with a decline in real demand observed in the vast majority of regions, including Moscow (-1.9%) and St. Petersburg (-0.2%). Growth in sales of homeopathic remedies in packages was observed in 16 regions, with the highest figures recorded in the Chechen Republic (+20.8% in packages), the Republic of Dagestan (+11.2%), and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (+11.2%).

In total, at the end of Q1-Q2 2025, the Russian pharmaceutical retail market offered 454 brands of homeopathic medicines, comprising 623 SKUs. During this period, 32 companies represented their products on the market. It is noteworthy that more than 84% of the market's monetary volume is generated by just three corporations: German Heel (38.4%), Russian Materia Medica (28.1%), and French Boiron (17.8%). Most of the players in the TOP 10 have dozens of homeopathic medicine brands in their portfolios. The leading company (Heel) had 55 brands in the reporting period, the main one being Traumeel. Materia Medica and Boiron do not have such a wide range, with 16 and 11 brands, respectively, while Anaferon and Homeovox are the absolute leaders in terms of sales volume. The largest number of brands among the top ten corporations was in the portfolio of International Corporation  Edas (63 positions), where Passambra Edas has been the key product for several years.

All TOP-10 participants showed positive sales dynamics in value terms during the period under review. The highest growth rates were recorded by A. Nelson & Co. from the UK, with sales increasing 2.8 times over the year. The company's leading product remains Rescue Remedy, which accounts for more than 92% of the company's portfolio sales in value terms.

Natural consumption of products declined for most of the top ten companies in the period under review, with the largest decline recorded for Moscovskaya Pharmacevtichskaya Fabrika (-10.8% compared to January-June 2024).
