The average receipt in Russian pharmacies in March was 766 rubles (retail prices, VAT included), up 10.6% from March 2024 and down 0.2%, or around 2 rubles, from February 2025. In particular, the average receipt for pharmaceuticals was 621 rubles, up 13.9%, while that for parapharmaceuticals was 146 rubles, down 1.6%. We can see that the average receipt per one-time purchase has entered a phase of stagnation, mainly due to the outflow of consumers of parapharmaceuticals from retail pharmacies.
Back in January 2025, the average receipt fell to 756 rubles. The receipt per one-time purchase of pharmaceutical drugs was also the lowest in January, at 602 rubles. In February, the average receipt for the entire range of pharmaceutical products rose to 768 rubles, while that for medicines reached 621 rubles. As for parapharmaceutical products, the average receipt in January 2025 was 154 rubles, just a little lower than that in December 2024.
In March 2025, the average receipt went up from March 2024 in all regions, with most of them seeing a growth rate of over 10%. The Chechen Republic saw the lowest increase—the receipt rose 2%, to 900 rubles. The largest average receipt for the entire range of products sold in pharmacies was seen during in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (1,213 rubles) and Moscow (1,112 rubles). Both regions also had the largest receipt for medicinal products— 903 and 891 rubles, up 11% and 14% from March 2024, respectively.
