Russia is seeing a steady trend toward increased consumption of drugs for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (EphMRA group G04E). In Q1 2026, over 3.6 million packages of such drugs worth RUB 2.5 billion (at retail prices, including VAT) were sold on the retail market (including the online channel). Compared to the first three months of 2025, physical demand in the segment increased by 1.8%, while spending increased by 10.5%. In total for 2025, Russians purchased nearly 15.3 million packages of such drugs worth more than RUB 10.1 billion. Long-term growth compared to 2024 was +7% in packages, while in monetary terms growth was recorded at +11.6%.

The departure of a number of original foreign brands from the Russian market in 2023 led to a pronounced drop in ruble sales in the category of 12.8%. At the same time, physical consumption volume not only did not fall but increased by 9.4% due to substitution with generics. It was then that the trend toward the washing out of expensive items became very evident, and it continues to this day. As a result, the share of drugs costing more than RUB 5,000 has now fallen from 12.5% in 2022 to 1.9% in 2025 (in Q1 2026 — no more than 2.5% in rubles). The share of the segment from RUB 1,000 to RUB 5,000 also decreased by 9.2 percentage points compared to 2022, reaching 23.8%. At the same time, the cheapest price category (up to RUB 500) is also falling: over four years, physical demand here has decreased by 9.4 percentage points to 23.8% in rubles. The main growth was recorded in the niche of drugs costing from RUB 500 to RUB 1,000, whose share reached 56.9%, whereas in 2022 it was only 36.4%.

According to the "Retail Audit of Drug Sales in Russia (total sell out)" from the analytical company RNC Pharma, the undisputed leader among drugs for erectile dysfunction is sildenafil-based products. They account for 68.7% of the physical sales volume and 64.4% of ruble revenue in the category. In 2025, this most competitive segment included approximately 20 brands from 32 manufacturers. Second place is occupied by tadalafil-based drugs, accounting for 27.8% of physical and 31.2% of value volume (represented by 10 brands from 14 manufacturers). Other INNs account for no more than 4% of the market in total. This small group includes the less popular vardenafil (manufactured by Kanonpharma). Another representative of the PDE-5 inhibitor class — udenafil ("Zidena" from Valenta) — has completely exited circulation on the Russian market, with its last supplies recorded in 2021.

In 2025, the market leaders remain unbranded sildenafil drugs, with the key manufacturer being Severnaya Zvezda. The company, which produces four brands in this category, leads the ranking in both physical and monetary terms (43.9% of all packages sold and 33.9% of the category's value volume). Second place by revenue is occupied by Teva with a 16% ruble share, representing three brands based on sildenafil and tadalafil. In third place is the Russian manufacturer Ozon Pharmacevtika with a 12% ruble share. Compared to 2025, the company showed divergent dynamics: a decline in packages of 5.8% with ruble revenue growth of 7.2%. In the TOP-10 manufacturing companies, a decline in monetary sales was recorded for only two companies: Binnopharm (-2.5%) and KRKA (-6.8%). In contrast, record growth was shown by the Cypriot Xantis Pharma, with sales of its products jumping 79% in rubles and 58% in packages.
