According to the RNC Pharma® database “Audit of Retail Sales of Medicinal Products in Russia (total sell-out),” in Q1–Q3 2025, the average single purchase in Russian pharmacies amounted to RUB 767 (retail prices including VAT) across all product categories. Compared with the same period in 2024, the average ticket increased by 10.8%, driven entirely by medicinal products. The average purchase value for medicines reached RUB 618, showing a 13.5% year-on-year increase.

Meanwhile, the average ticket for parapharmaceutical products decreased by 2.8% year-on-year, to RUB 151. This decline is closely linked to the consumer shift of non-medicinal product demand toward online channels, primarily marketplaces. Until 2024, this trend affected offline dynamics without significantly reducing overall demand; however, in 2025, offline parapharmaceutical sales began to decline noticeably, impacting the average purchase size for this category in pharmacies.

Traditionally, the lowest average ticket values in Russian pharmacies are recorded in January and May. In January 2025, the average purchase fell to RUB 756, and in May, to RUB 755. Nevertheless, the upward trend remains evident: by September 2025, the average purchase size across all pharmacy categories reached an all-time record of RUB 786, of which RUB 640 came from medicines.

The average purchase value for parapharmaceuticals also varies seasonally. In 2025, the highest figure was recorded in January (RUB 154), with additional peaks in June (RUB 150) and July (RUB 153) — a predictable pattern linked to vacation-season demand for seasonal pharmacy products, such as sunscreen and related items.

Across all Russian regions, the average ticket grew year-on-year in Q1–Q3 2025, with most regions showing growth rates above 10%. The highest average purchase values were observed in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (RUB 1,147) and Moscow (RUB 1,135). Notably, St. Petersburg joined the leading regions in September 2025, with the average ticket surpassing RUB 1,000, compared with RUB 930 a year earlier.

The largest average purchase for medicines was recorded in Moscow — RUB 901 (+14% vs. Q1–Q3 2024), while the highest parapharmaceutical ticket was in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (RUB 300). The fastest growth in the overall pharmacy average ticket was observed in the Kursk Region (+16%), where the average purchase reached RUB 663.
