Based on the results of the first eleven months of 2025, the average price per package of a medicinal product in Russian pharmacies (including online sales with home delivery) amounted to RUB 385 (at retail prices, VAT included). Compared with January–November 2024, this indicator increased by 15%. It should be noted that prices in the e-commerce segment are significantly higher than the market average: during the reporting period, the average price per package in online sales reached RUB 460. Moreover, compared with January–November 2024, this figure rose by 39%. However, due to the relatively small share of the online delivery channel (around 1% of the retail pharmaceutical market), this dynamic has only a limited impact on aggregate market indicators.

Growth in the average price of medicines, in addition to inflationary pressure, is also driven by changes in the consumer basket, which in recent years has been characterized by an increasing share of products from the upper price segment. This same factor explains the substantial regional differences in average prices. Notably, while in 2024 the average price did not exceed RUB 500 per package in any constituent entity of the Russian Federation, in 2025 this threshold was surpassed in two regions. Moscow leads by a significant margin: in January–November 2025, the average price per package of medicines in the capital reached RUB 549, an increase of RUB 66 year on year (+14%). A notable contribution to this trend came from semaglutide analogues; in terms of value sales, the regional leader was Semavik (Geropharm), whose sales doubled over the year. Saint Petersburg ranks second by average price level, where the cost per package was around RUB 508, reflecting an almost 13% year-on-year increase (+RUB 58).

According to data from the RNC Pharma database Audit of Retail Sales of Medicines in Russia (total sell out), during the period under review the average price increased by more than 10% in almost all regions. The highest growth rate in average prices was recorded in the Republic of Tatarstan: compared with January–November 2024, the indicator rose by 17.6% to RUB 379 (+RUB 57). Here again, demand for semaglutide products played a key role; for example, consumer spending on the Velgia brand (Promomed) increased 134-fold year on year.

Among the regions with the highest growth rates in average prices, Kursk Region ranks second. In January–November 2025, the average price per package there amounted to RUB 342, which is 16.8% higher than a year earlier. An important factor shaping market dynamics in this region was gabapentin, which ranked second among brands by value sales; expenditure on this product increased 2.7 times over the year.

The lowest growth rates in average medicine prices during the analyzed period were observed in the Chechen Republic (+7.7%) and Chukotka Autonomous Area (+9%). In the Chechen Republic, the smallest absolute increase in the average purchase price was also recorded (+RUB 30). Alongside Semavik, which leads the regional ranking by value, the top positions are occupied by more affordable products such as Nurofen, sodium chloride, and Amoxiclav. In Chukotka Autonomous Area, the leading brands include Ingavirin, Theraflu, and Arbidol.
