As of the end of Q1–Q3 2025, almost 577.4 thousand breast pumps were sold in the Russian retail market (including marketplaces and the FMCG segment), totalling RUB 991.5 million (at retail prices, including VAT). Compared to the same period in 2024, sales increased by 10.9% in value terms, while unit sales rose by 4.2%. High growth rates in this category have been recorded for the third consecutive year. In 2024, the dynamics relative to 2023 amounted to +13.8% in value and +17.5% in unit terms.

In 2025, the rapid expansion of the e-commerce segment continues, while sales volumes in traditional retail outlets are declining. Over the first nine months of the current year, the online segment accounted for more than 73% of total unit sales and approximately 68% of value sales. Compared to Q1–Q3 2024, e-commerce dynamics were recorded at +23.9% in value and +12.1% in units, whereas offline sales decreased by 9.6% and 12.5%, respectively.

A significant share of this category is formed by non-branded products (around 39% of unit market volume), and it is noteworthy that almost the entire volume of non-name devices is purchased through online channels. In addition, during the reporting period the retail market featured 60 branded product lines from 47 manufacturers.

In value terms, Philips leads the category, accounting for over 20.3% of the market. The corporation offers its devices under the Avent brand. After a decline in Avent sales in 2024, the reporting period showed substantial growth in both value and unit terms: compared to Q1–Q3 2024, demand for the brand increased by 62% in value and by 70% in units. The next two positions in the ranking are held by the Chinese companies Cixi Jinfu with the Sisbro brand (15.2% share in value) and Guangdong Oversea with the Babygow brand (9.3%). While Sisbro demonstrates strong year-on-year growth (+43%), sales of Babygow devices have remained nearly unchanged (+1%). In fourth place is CS Medica with its eponymous brand, which is also produced in China. Interestingly, sales of this product declined by 13% over the year. A decrease in sales was also recorded for the Swiss company Medela (–38%), ranked fifth, and for Mama Labbi from the Chinese manufacturer Ningbo Royal Union (–3%).

The strongest growth result within the top ten was recorded for the Chinese manufacturer Shantou Yisheng, which supplies Manu electric breast pumps to the Russian market. The most in-demand model during the reporting period was the double pumping device — its sales increased 16-fold year-on-year. Also among the leaders in terms of growth is the Chinese company Maideal Mother and Infant Product, which sells breast pumps under three different brands in Russia, including a manual model. Over the year, the company’s combined sales increased by 87% in value.

In January–September 2025, the Russian company Laktea entered the top ten, offering several electric breast pump models in retail (1.2% market share). However, the company cannot yet boast strong dynamics — compared to the same period last year, its sales increased by 8% in value.
