The retail market for antiparkinsonian drugs (EphMRA group N04A) in Russia is showing steady upward dynamics, with physical sales volume continuously increasing over the past three years. In terms of value volumes, a decline in spending was recorded only in 2023, following the panic-driven year of 2022; thereafter, the market's capacity has consistently grown. In 2025, total spending on drugs in this category reached a record RUB 2.6 billion (at retail prices, including VAT), equivalent to the consumption of more than 5.2 million packages. Confident positive dynamics continue into 2026: in the first five months of this year, retail sales volume in monetary terms exceeded RUB 1.2 billion, showing growth of 16% compared to the same period last year, while the physical sales volume during this period increased by 7%, reaching 2.2 million packages.

According to the "Retail Audit of Drug Sales in Russia (total sell out)" from the analytical company RNC Pharma, sales of 27 brands were recorded in the analyzed group in January–May of this year. As before, the largest Russian spending during the reporting period was directed toward Mirapex (INN pramipexole) from Boehringer Ingelheim. The brand currently accounts for 25.4% of the group's total value sales. Second place in the brand ranking, with a 15.4% share, is held by Nakom (INN levodopa + carbidopa) from Sandoz, while third place remains with Pronoran (INN piribedil) from Servier, with a 10% ruble share. Fourth place is stably held by PK-Merz (INN amantadine) from Merz Pharma, accounting for 8.8% of the segment's total value sales.

Interestingly, over the past four years, the structure of the top four brands has remained completely unchanged. At the same time, the lower positions in the TOP-10 have undergone radical structural shifts due to the complete cessation of supplies of a number of imported drugs. A striking example is the Finnish drug Stalevo (Orion), which in 2022 rounded out the top five brands but in 2023 showed a 65-fold drop in sales volumes, and by 2026 its sales had moved into the category of isolated cases. The resulting niche was quickly filled by the reproduced analogue Levodopa/Carbidopa/Entacapone-Teva (registered in the Russian Federation in 2022) — in 2023, its commercial turnover jumped more than 16-fold, and in January–May 2026, the generic took sixth place in the ranking. Similar processes were recorded for the TM Syndranol (INN ropinirole) from Egis (Servier Group), with only trace sales recorded in retail by 2025. At the same time, an alternative growth vector formed within this INN, provided by the drug Requip Modutab from GSK, whose ruble revenue increased by 40%, allowing it to secure eighth place in the ranking for the first five months of 2026.

Looking at the other participants in the top ten brands during the analyzed period, almost all of them showed notable sales growth. The exception was Pronoran (Servier), whose sales dynamics were recorded at -4% compared to January–May 2025. At the same time, significant growth was noted for unbranded pramipexole generics from five different companies, with sales increasing by 40% in rubles over the year, with Ozon Pharmacevtika being the key supplier. The top also features another Russian brand — Benziel from Kanonpharma, which was also characterized by impressive sales growth (+35%). Despite the obvious successes of individual products, the overall share of domestic drugs in the category is relatively small. In January–May 2026, they accounted for 14.5% of the market, although this share has nearly doubled over the past four years.
